Illustration Contest

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Illustrating a book? Are you already a master at it? Doesn’t matter where you’ve come from or where your going, if you have an artist’s hand and want to take a stab at illustrating a scene from Cameron’s new book: Sunny’s Mercenary, join us in creating something fantastic that you will be proud to show your friends, family, art lovers, and even the author himself.
Rules
The rules are simple. Below is a button that will take you to an excerpt from the book. Read the excerpt and draw and image to illustrate the scene. It doesn’t need to convey the entire scene or encapsulate everything that the text touches on, but you must create an image that connects to the text.

How to Submit
Fill out our Submission Form
Once, your art has been submitted, you will receive an email from us telling you whether or not your art has met the rules to remain qualified for the contest. Finally, (if its physical) bring your art to the Book Launch Event on October 3rd and show everyone the masterwork you’ve created.

FAQ
| Can I submit multiple or submit updates to my submission? | No, only 1 submission per person. We need to be fair to every candidate. You can only submit once. |

| Can I use stock images in my art? | Yes, as long as a majority of the work and artistry is coming from you. |
| Can my submission include NSFW elements such as nudity, blood, and gore, legible swearing, etc.? | In general, No. A mild amount of blood is acceptable, but nudity, gore and profanity are not. Think PG-13. |

| Where do I submit? | Through the submission form link above or right here. If the art is physical, you should also bring your art to the Book Launch Event. |

| If my image is completely digital, how do I bring it to the Book Launch Event? | Don’t worry, we will display all digital-only art at the event for you. |
| Can I collaborate with other artists and submit as a team? | Yes, but we don’t have enough prizes for an entire team, so if you win, you’ll have to share. |
| How do I know if I’ve won? | Easy! Come to the Book Launch Event, and we will announce the winner and give out the prizes. |
